Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic and experienced Bartender/Server to join our vibrant hospitality team. Duties
- Greet guests warmly, take accurate food and beverage orders, and serve with enthusiasm to ensure satisfaction.
- Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS efficiently for order processing, cash handling, and billing.
- Prepare and serve a variety of beverages, including cocktails, beer, wine, and non-alcoholic drinks, adhering to all food safety standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar and dining areas, ensuring compliance with food handling regulations.
- Manage multiple tables or bar stations simultaneously through effective time management skills.
- Upsell menu items to increase sales while providing detailed descriptions of specials and drink options.
- Handle cash transactions accurately, perform basic math calculations for change, and reconcile registers at shift end.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate food delivery during busy periods such as banquets or nightclub events.
- Ensure responsible serving practices by checking IDs for alcohol service and monitoring guest consumption.
Skills
- Proven experience as a bartender/server in fine dining, nightclub, or restaurants with strong customer service skills.
- Proficiency with POS systems including Aloha POS and Micros POS; experience with cashiering and cash handling required.
- Knowledge of food safety standards, proper food handling procedures, and responsible alcohol serving practices.
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently during high-volume shifts.
- Ability to upsell menu items confidently to boost sales in a fast-paced setting.
- Strong communication skills to engage with guests professionally and courteously.
- Familiarity with retail math concepts for accurate cash handling and transaction reconciliation.
