Job Summary

Duties

• Greet guests warmly, take accurate food and beverage orders, and serve with enthusiasm to ensure satisfaction.
• Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS efficiently for order processing, cash handling, and billing.
• Prepare and serve a variety of beverages, including cocktails, beer, wine, and non-alcoholic drinks, adhering to all food safety standards.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar and dining areas, ensuring compliance with food handling regulations.
• Manage multiple tables or bar stations simultaneously through effective time management skills.
• Upsell menu items to increase sales while providing detailed descriptions of specials and drink options.
• Handle cash transactions accurately, perform basic math calculations for change, and reconcile registers at shift end.
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate food delivery during busy periods such as banquets or nightclub events.
• Ensure responsible serving practices by checking IDs for alcohol service and monitoring guest consumption.

Skills

• Proven experience as a bartender/server in fine dining, nightclub, or restaurants with strong customer service skills.
• Proficiency with POS systems including Aloha POS and Micros POS; experience with cashiering and cash handling required.
• Knowledge of food safety standards, proper food handling procedures, and responsible alcohol serving practices.
• Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently during high-volume shifts.
• Ability to upsell menu items confidently to boost sales in a fast-paced setting.
• Strong communication skills to engage with guests professionally and courteously.
• Familiarity with retail math concepts for accurate cash handling and transaction reconciliation.
