The Grumpy George on the Georgetown Square is looking for an experienced Bartender/Shift Lead to work flexible hours. We are a British themed restaurant with a full bar.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly upon arrival and guide them through menu options
• Take accurate orders using Toast POS system
• Serve food and beverages efficiently while maintaining high standards of food safety, sanitation, and presentation
• Upsell menu items and products through friendly suggestions to enhance guest experience and increase sales
• Manage cash handling, billing, and cashiering duties accurately
• Create and serve cocktails
• Provide exceptional guest relations by addressing questions, resolving concerns promptly, and ensuring overall satisfaction

Requirements

• Prior experience in bartending
• Knowledge of POS systems including Toast, Aloha POS, Micros POS, or similar platforms
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage guests positively and professionally whilst creating drinks
• Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during busy hours
• Ability to perform basic math for cash handling and billing transactions accurately
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed in a fast-paced environment
