Overview

• This particular location houses both the retail tobacco & liquor store and a small community bar. We are looking for someone to work on both sides of the store.
• We are seeking motivated and enthusiastic Retail Sales Associates to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be the face of our brand, providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a positive shopping experience for our customers. You will engage with customers, assist them in finding products, and contribute to the overall success of the store through effective sales techniques and inventory management.

Responsibilities

• Greet, interact and assist customers with the desired selection of merchandise, drink order and make recommendations based on their preferences.
• Communicate product knowledge effectively to help customers make informed purchasing decisions.
• Engage in upselling techniques to enhance the customer shopping experience and increase sales.
• Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system accurately for transactions and returns.
• Cash Control, including shift drawer count and reconciliation
• Maintain an organized and visually appealing sales floor by stocking shelves, arranging displays, and ensuring products are readily available.
• Prepare and serve a variety of beverages, including cocktails, spirits, and non-alcoholic drinks, in a timely and professional manner. While adhering to company mixology procedures.
• Assist with inventory management, including receiving shipments, conducting stock checks, and managing product displays.
• Handle customer inquiries and resolve issues promptly to maintain high levels of customer satisfaction.
• Maintain clean and well organized store and bar both inside and outside the building.
• Display a positive attitude and promote teamwork
• Exhibit professionalism in appearance and conduct

Compensation: $15.00 / hour

Requirements:

Job Skills:

• Strong communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with customers.
• Familiarity with retail math concepts to assist in inventory management and sales reporting.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as required by store operations
• Reliable.
• A proactive attitude towards upselling and promoting store promotions or events.
• Comfortable multi-tasking and adapt easily to change.
• Ability to work alone, including opening or closing the store.
• Basic knowledge of POS systems is a plus but not mandatory; training will be provided.
• Ability to commute to other stores within a 30 mile radius.

Education/Experience/Training:

• High school diploma/ GED (required)
• 1 year of customer service experience (preferred)
• 1 year of bartending/mixology experience (required)
• Must be able to pass the required certifications for Selling/Serving Alcohol, Selling Tobacco and Food Handling within the allotted attempts
• Must complete the Smokin' Joe's Associate New Hire Training Program
