BAS Graphics Engineer - Internship

Convergentz, a division of Hunton Group in Houston, TX (www.convergentz.com), has an exciting opportunity for a Graphics Engineer Intern to join our Building Automation Systems team. This internship is designed for college students currently enrolled in a technical or engineering program who are interested in gaining hands-on experience in building automation, software graphics development, and smart building technologies. The Graphics Engineer Intern will assist the BAS Graphics team with the development and maintenance of graphical user interfaces used to monitor and control building systems. Interns will gain practical experience designing visual representations of HVAC systems, floorplans and equipment layouts used in modern building automation platforms.

Responsibilities

Assist in the development of graphical user interfaces (GUIs) for BAS.
Support the creation of floor plans, equipment graphics, and system diagrams for HVAC and building systems.
Help configure graphical elements to display real-time data from BAS controllers and sensors.
Modify and update existing BAS graphics to improve clarity and usability.
Assist with mapping equipment points and data values to graphical displays.
Support project engineers in testing graphics to ensure functionality and accuracy.
Participate in project meetings and learn BAS project workflows.
Assist with documentation and organization of graphics files and templates.
Gain exposure to BAS platforms and software used to monitor building systems.

Qualifications

Interest in building automation, smart buildings, or control systems
Strong computer skills and attention to detail.
Knowledge of programming/scripting languages (e.g. JavaScript, HTML, or similar) is a plus
Strong communication and organizational skills
