**MUST HAVE THOROUGH KNOWLEDGE OF THE GAME OF BASKETBALL**

**Social Meida experience with "X" and "Instagram" to post LIVE in-game updates that are required**

**AVAILABILITY ON WEEKNIGHTS IS A MUST FOR OUR HIGH SCHOOL COVERAGE & WEEKENDS FOR AAU OR EXPSOURE EVENTS! (Tuesday & Friday's are mandatory)**

-Writing recaps of game action will also be integrated into the position

We're looking to add a qualified and initiative driven social media/staff reporter with immediate availability for assignments. AlamoCityHoops is the largest high school and AAU Hoops media outlet for boys and girls that spans throughout Central, West, and South Texas. Known as the Texas Tri-Regions.

With personal relationships to over 700 college coaches (Men's & Women's), we provide an exposure and coverage platform for both girls and boys high school basketball unrivaled to anyone in San Antonio, Austin and the surrounding areas.

We now have nearly 33k followers on our Social Media platforms. In nearly 12 years we have established ourselves as the leading hoops outlet in all of the Tri-Regions. We are a non-profit, and also an NCAA approved scouting service that provides written prospect evaluations to college programs across the country.

--Resume MUST list your personal experience with high school basketball (player, coach, manager, reporter, etc...)

--Position will consist on average of 15-20 hours per event weekend during the AAU season.
--At a minimum, this position will consist of 2-5 High School games or 4-20 hours weekly during the High School season. Based on peak times of high school and AAU seasons, coverage could require more or less hours.

**ASSIGNMENTS WILL BE THROUGHOUT THE NORTH METRO AUSTIN AREA (To include Pflugerville, Round Rock, Georgetown, Leander, etc...)

Responsibilities:
- Provide High School game coverage with LIVE game posts on "X" while providing scoring updates, game action, short highlight clips and more
-Write news articles, ensuring accuracy and adherence to journalistic standards
- Conduct interviews with players and coaches to gather information and quotes
- Collaborate with editors and other reporters to develop story ideas and angles
- Utilize social media platforms to promote news stories and engage with audience

Requirements:
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in journalism, communications, or a related field
- 2 Years of proven experience as a reporter or journalist
- Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills
- Excellent research abilities and attention to detail
- Proficiency in social media management and content promotion
- Ability to work under tight deadlines and in high-pressure situations
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $15.00 - $25.00 per hour
