Basketball Program Manager

HUB Sports Boston provides adult social sports leagues to Boston and the Greater Boston area. With over 20,000 players across 10 different sports each year, our leagues aren’t just about sports, they're about community, connection, and creating memorable experiences season after season!

We are currently seeking a Basketball Program Manager to join our energetic team. This is a one-of-a-kind opportunity for the right individual who is passionate about the sports Industry and would like to grow within a company. The Basketball Program Manager oversees and manages the planning, development, and execution of the basketball Leagues. Key responsibilities include sales outreach, league and program oversight, customer relations and ensuring the successful promotion and registration of basketball teams. The Basketball Program Manager reports to the Director of Sports and Programming and collaborates on all facets of the business. The right candidate has a hunter mentality, is self-motivated to grow sales and has superior customer service skills.

Job Responsibilities Include The Following:

  • Conduct sales outreach for new and existing leagues.
  • Utilize your existing basketball network to start, grow, recruit, promote and build leagues.
  • Review league formats, league locations, and skill level of leagues
  • Responsible for league & player communication
  • Key point of contact for customer service for any questions, player issues, concerns and recommendations
  • Utilize strategic thinking and multiple channels when determining how to grow programs.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders in the league and players to ensure they have an exceptional experience and come back season after season.
  • Ability to navigate the player through the entire sales process from start to finish.
  • Equipment & inventory management.
  • Attend Hub Meetings, events, and quarterly tournaments.
  • Other duties, as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • 3-5 years minimum Basketball experience.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to collaborate well with others.
  • A self-starter with the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Must be proficient in computer software programs and have exceptional customer service skills.
  • Whatever it takes attitude, to get the job done. Outgoing personality and sense of humor a plus.
  • Must have a car and valid driver’s license.
  • Passion for Sports is a must!

Salary & Job Type: (25 Hours a week with a minimum of 15 hours in the office during the week and 10 hours on-site management)

· Current part-time position is estimated at 25 hours a week with the ability to earn commission on growth of sales.

· $25 hourly rate for on-site management of existing basketball programs (estimated to be 10 hours per week) and $1,500 a month for all office work (based on a minimum of 15 hours per week).

· Additional Commission of 10% will be paid for the growth all our basketball programs.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 25 per week

Work Location: Hybrid remote in Watertown, MA 02472
