With full stats and recaps of every single league game posted online, the leagues are fun, competitive and interactive!League play takes place in Cambridge, Somerville, Watertown, Newton and Waltham.

The main purpose of our scorekeepers is to generate a competitive energy within an individual league and create rivalries that keep teams coming back season after season. Churning out recaps every week just describing the game doesn't cut it, you need to get to know the players personally and create a compelling narrative throughout the whole season!

Interested parties should have access to a vehicle (but its not required) in order to get to and from games as well as a willingness to work hard, have fun and help keep the CAC Basketball leagues the best in the city! There are many shifts available and most new staff members work 6-10 hours (more available) each throughout the week on Sunday night through Thursday night (most shifts 6PM - 10PM) There is always room for growth and additional hours.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure a safe, fun, social and fair environment for all players
• Understand and kindly and fairly enforce each sport’s rules
• Communicate with the office regarding any equipment, rule issues, player issues, etc.
• Scoring and recording basketball games
• Providing written coverage
• Additional opportunities to create content for the website through podcasts, are also available.

Qualifications

• Must be available for a minimum of eight weeks, as follows:
• Weekday availability from 5:45pm-10:30pm
• Weekend availability between 11am- 7pm
• Must have reliable transportation to and from field locations
• Strong communication skills to effectively interact with players and staff
• Knowledge of basketball rules and scoring systems
• Ability to manage conflicts and maintain a positive environment
