Battery Energy Storage System ( BESS) Field Service Technician

Founded in 2021, OTEK Group, Inc. (OTEK) is a fast-growing renewable energy service provider that specializes in the Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) sub-sector of the broader power grid energy transition.

Location: Projects are around Texas and other states, so technicians must be willing to travel as needed

Type: Contractor

Salary: $25.00 - $50.00 per hour

Responsibilities:

*The most qualified candidates will have transformer testing, maintenance and repair experience*

· Install, commission, and maintenance BESS / HVAC systems at customer sites.

· Perform regular inspections, diagnostics, and troubleshooting to ensure optimal system performance.

· Conduct preventive maintenance activities according to schedule and guidelines.

· Collaborate with engineering and project management teams to implement system upgrades and enhancements.

· Provide technical support and training to customers and end-users as needed.

· Document all service activities, including maintenance tasks, repairs, and customer interactions, accurately and comprehensively.

· Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines during all service activities, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.

· Participate in ongoing training programs to stay updated on industry trends, product developments, and best practices.

Experience:

• · Minimum of two (2) year of experiences in BESS / HVAC repair, troubleshooting and maintenance or a related field preferred
• · Proficiency in analyzing and troubleshooting complex mechanical systems
• · Ability to weld (stick welding) is preferred
• · OSHA 10 / 30 and NFPA 70E/ First Aid certifications must have
• HVAC license is preferred
• · Ability to read, speak and write in English
• · High school diploma/GED equivalent
• · Must have valid driver's license and work authorization in the U.S.
