Join our dedicated healthcare team as a Baylor Med-Tech working overnight shifts from 3pm to 7am. In this vital role, you will provide exceptional medical support and patient care within assisted living, nursing home, or hospital settings. Your expertise will help ensure the safety, comfort, and well-being of individuals with diverse needs, including those with developmental disabilities, dementia, or requiring hospice care. Responsibilities
- Assist with patient care activities such as vital signs measurement, medication administration, and catheter care while adhering to HIPAA regulations and medical documentation standards.
- Support residents or patients with activities of daily living, including mobility assistance and tube feeding when necessary.
- Use EMR (Electronic Medical Records) and EHR (Electronic Health Records) systems like Epic or Cerner to accurately document medical information and update patient records.
- Monitor physiological parameters and respond promptly to changes in patient condition, ensuring safety and comfort.
- Collaborate with nursing staff and healthcare teams to coordinate care plans for individuals with dementia, Alzheimer's, or other disabilities.
- Maintain a clean, safe environment by following infection control protocols and assisting with hygiene routines.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and team members to provide compassionate support and detailed medical updates.
Qualifications
- Prior experience working in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, hospitals, or home care environments is highly preferred.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and acute care procedures such as tube feeding and catheter care.
- Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems like Epic or Cerner is advantageous.
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or in memory care settings is a plus.
- Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations and medical documentation practices.
- Ability to work overnight shifts consistently from 3pm to 7am while maintaining high energy levels and attention to detail.
