BBS ENGINEER

• Prepare and review detailed Bar Bending Schedules (BBS) for reinforcement in concrete structures.
• Calculate the quantity, type, and size of reinforcement bars (rebars) required for each element of the structure (slabs, beams, columns, etc.).
• Provide accurate detailing of bar shapes, lengths, and bends as per design drawings.
• Ensure that the schedule complies with structural designs and relevant codes (e.g., IS codes, ACI, etc.).
• Estimate and order the correct quantity of reinforcement steel required based on the BBS.
• Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials.
• Liaise with structural engineers, architects, and construction teams to verify and align BBS with construction requirements.
• Ensure that the reinforcement is placed correctly in line with design drawings on site.
• Supervise the bar bending and cutting process to ensure accuracy and quality.
• Monitor the placement of rebar at the construction site to ensure compliance with the BBS and design specifications.
• Ensure that the work complies with relevant safety regulations and industry standards.
• Implement safety measures when handling and bending steel.
• Maintain proper documentation of bar bending schedules and any revisions made during the project.
• Provide regular updates to project managers regarding the status of reinforcement and material quantities.
