Who We Are Looking For:

The BCBA is responsible for assessing clients, developing behavior intervention plans, and ensuring the effective implementation of ABA therapy. The BCBA works closely with families, clients, and therapy teams to achieve meaningful behavioral outcomes and improve the client's overall quality of life.

Key Responsibilities:

Behavior Assessment:

Conduct initial and ongoing Functional Behavior Assessments (FBA) to identify problematic behaviors and their causes. Analyze behavioral data to track progress and inform decisions.

Program Development:

Design individualized ABA treatment plans based on assessment results and evidence-based practices. Develop behavior intervention strategies to reduce challenging behaviors and teach new skills. Ensure that treatment plans are comprehensive and adaptable to the client's changing needs.

Supervision and Training:

Supervise and train Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs) or ABA therapists in implementing behavior plans. Provide ongoing training and support to parents, caregivers, and support staff in behavior management and reinforcement techniques. Monitor staff performance and ensure treatment fidelity.

Data Collection and Analysis:

Collect and analyze behavioral data regularly to assess the effectiveness of treatment plans. Adjust and revise behavior plans as needed based on data outcomes.

Collaboration:

Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including teachers, speech therapists, occupational therapists, and other specialists, to ensure a holistic approach to care.

Work with families and caregivers to provide ongoing education and support in applying ABA principles outside of therapy sessions.

Ethical Compliance:

Ensure that all services and interventions are compliant with the ethical guidelines set forth by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB). Maintain client confidentiality and uphold the highest professional standards.

Documentation:

Maintain accurate and up-to-date clinical notes, treatment plans, and progress reports. Submit insurance documentation and coordinate with administrative teams to ensure compliance with funding and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications:

BCBA Certification: Must hold current certification from the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB).

Arizona State Licensure: Must hold, or ability to obtain, an Arizona Licensed Behavior Analyst

Education: A master's degree in psychology, education, or a related field

Experience: Previous experience working with individuals with autism or developmental disabilities is preferred.

Skills:

  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for working with families, clients, and staff. Competency in data collection and analysis tools used in ABA therapy.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with electronic health records (EHR) systems.
  • Experience with developing and managing behavior plans for children with ASD.
  • Supervisory experience in training and leading behavior technicians or RBTs.

Work Environment:

BCBAs may work in a variety of settings, including:

  • Clinics: Leading therapy teams in clinic-based services.
  • Homes: Providing therapy in the client's home.
  • Schools: Working with school staff to implement behavior plans in the classroom.
  • Community Settings: Supporting clients in public settings or teaching life skills outside the clinical environment.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Up to $100,000.00 per year
