Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Obstetrics and Gynecology (OB/GYN) Physician to join our esteemed healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive women’s health services, including prenatal care, family planning, and gynecological treatments, in a dynamic clinical setting. Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough medical evaluations, including physical examinations and patient assessments, to diagnose and manage obstetric and gynecological conditions.
- Provide prenatal care, monitor fetal development, and manage labor & delivery processes in accordance with hospital protocols.
- Develop personalized treatment plans for family planning, reproductive endocrinology, and menopausal management.
- Utilize Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems such as Epic and EMR systems for accurate documentation of patient encounters and treatment plans.
- Perform procedures including suturing, cervical screenings, Pap smears, colposcopy, and other minimally invasive interventions.
- Coordinate with specialists in maternal-fetal medicine, neonatology, endocrinology, cardiology, and other disciplines for comprehensive patient management.
- Educate patients on reproductive health, contraception options, menopause management, and lifestyle modifications.
- Stay current with advances in obstetrics & gynecology by engaging in clinical research and continuing medical education activities.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain high standards of infection control and aseptic techniques during procedures.
Skills
- Proficiency with advanced medical imaging techniques relevant to OB/GYN care.
- Experience with hospital-based procedures such as catheterization, ultrasound imaging (including CT), and diagnostic evaluation tools.
- Familiarity with specialty areas including maternal-fetal medicine, reproductive endocrinology, urogynecology, and minimally invasive surgery.
- Knowledge of CPT coding for billing purposes and ICD coding for diagnoses documentation.
- Strong understanding of physiology related to pregnancy, childbirth, endocrinology, immunology, and general women's health issues.
- Ability to operate EMR systems like Epic efficiently for documentation and patient management.
- Excellent communication skills to provide empathetic patient education and collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary teams.
- Experience in outpatient clinics or hospital settings with Level I or Level II trauma center experience preferred.
