BDM – Corporate Sales (Air Ticketing)

Position Summary

We are looking for a dynamic and results-oriented Business Development Manager (BDM) - Sales to spearhead our efforts in expanding our corporate client base within the air ticketing sector. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in establishing our presence among corporate clients by acquiring contracts and partnerships for air ticketing services. This is a high-impact managerial role focused on building a strong corporate client base from the ground up, negotiating business deals, and positioning the company as a trusted partner for corporate travel solutions. The candidate should have hands-on experience in business acquisition, strong industry connections, and the ability to independently drive growth in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.

Key Responsibilities

Corporate Client Acquisition & Relationship Building:

Identify and engage potential corporate clients to promote air travel and ticketing solutions. Develop customized proposals that align with each client’s travel and budget requirements. Build and maintain long-term relationships to ensure client satisfaction and repeat business.

Sales Strategy & Execution

Develop and implement strategic sales plans to expand market share and achieve revenue targets. Collaborate with senior management to align corporate sales initiatives with organizational goals. Drive end-to-end sales cycles from lead generation to deal closure.

Negotiation & Contract Management

Prepare competitive proposals, negotiate terms, and close contracts with corporate clients. Ensure that all agreements are aligned with company policies and maximize profitability.

Client Retention & Upselling

Regularly engage with corporate clients to ensure satisfaction and explore opportunities to upsell premium services, corporate packages, and ancillary travel solutions.

Market Intelligence & Competitor Analysis

Stay updated on industry trends and competitors' offerings to create innovative solutions for corporate clients. Provide insights that help refine sales strategies.

Collaboration With Internal Teams

Work closely with the operations and customer support teams to ensure smooth execution of corporate travel bookings and to resolve any issues that may arise.

Reporting & Performance Tracking

Track and report sales performance metrics against set targets. Maintain accurate client records, sales forecasts, and activity reports for management review.

Experience

Skills & Qualifications:

Minimum of 5-10 years’ experience in corporate sales, preferably air ticketing industry. Proven success in developing new business and managing high-value corporate accounts.

Sales & Communication Skills

Excellent negotiation, presentation, and communication skills. Ability to tailor solutions to meet the specific needs of corporate clients, and the ability to close deals effectively.

Technical Proficiency

Hands-on experience with GDS systems (Amadeus, Sabre, Galileo, etc.). Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).

Education

A master degree in Business Administration, Sales & Marketing, Travel & Tourism, or a related field is preferred.

Personal Attributes

Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and driven to achieve sales targets. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle multiple client requests simultaneously. Demonstrated ability to work independently while also being an effective team player.

Preferred Experience

Prior experience in a corporate travel management or airline GSA environment. Fluency in additional languages is an advantage, especially for international client engagement.
