Be Active Lead

Hours - 22.5 hours per week 40 weeks

HSDC is looking for a dynamic and student-focused Be Active Lead – Cross Campus to lead and develop sport, fitness, and health-related enrichment opportunities across the College. The successful candidate will manage the Be Active Coordinators, grow participation in extra-curricular activities, build strong community partnerships, oversee impact reporting, and secure external funding to sustain and expand provision.

You will have experience of leading staff or programmes in a sport, leisure, or educational setting, along with strong knowledge of youth sport, safeguarding, health and safety, enrichment, and participation tracking. A sport or fitness related qualification, leadership or management training, and the ability to work across campuses are essential.

• Degree/HND in a sport or fitness related subject, plus English and Maths GCSE grade C or above (or equivalent).
• A recognised professional management qualification (e.g. CMI, ILM, or equivalent leadership credential) and/or commercial sports management training.
• Experience of managing, leading, or mentoring staff or coordinators within a sport, leisure, or educational setting.
• Demonstrable involvement in managing community/sports project work, including inclusive or disability sport.
• Up-to-date knowledge of youth sport, physical activity, participation tracking, and strong understanding of health & safety, risk assessment, safeguarding, and impact reporting/KPI analysis.
