Qualifications:

  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree
  • Board certification in Psychiatry
  • Valid Pennsylvania state medical license
  • Valid DEA #
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-based environment
  • Compassionate and empathetic approach to patient care
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Without any exclusions from CMS
  • Valid PA state required clearances, Current CPR, First Aid Training
  • Current Act 31 Child Abuse Training

As a Psychiatrist at GPHA you will be responsible for evaluating, diagnosing, and treating patients with various mental health conditions. You will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement treatment plans that meet the unique needs of each patient. In addition, you will provide ongoing support and counseling to help patients manage their mental health challenges effectively.


General Responsibilities:

  • Conduct psychiatric evaluations to assess patients' mental health status
  • Diagnose mental health disorders and develop personalized treatment plans
  • Prescribe and manage medication for patients as needed
  • Provide psychotherapy and counseling to individuals and groups
  • Provide consults to primary care providers
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records
  • Stay current on developments in the field of psychiatry and addiction treatment
  • Participate in continuing education activities
