In this role, you will be instrumental in supporting early childhood development through dynamic activities, attentive supervision, and compassionate care. Duties
- Supervise children before and after school hours, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times
- Implement engaging activities that promote childhood development, including arts, sports, theater, and educational games
- Manage classroom behavior with effective behavior management techniques to maintain a positive environment
- Assist with classroom management and support teachers or camp coordinators in daily routines
- Administer basic first aid when necessary and follow safety protocols to handle minor injuries or incidents
- Support children with special education needs by adapting activities and providing personalized attention
- Collaborate with parents, guardians, and team members to communicate children's progress and address concerns
Experience
- Prior experience working with children in settings such as daycare, preschool, camp, tutoring, or babysitting is highly preferred
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education practices
- Familiarity with classroom management strategies and behavior management techniques
- Certifications in first aid and CPR are a plus; willingness to obtain these certifications if not already certified
- Experience in sports coaching, theater arts, or Christian counseling can enhance your ability to engage children creatively and spiritually
- Strong communication skills to work effectively with children, parents, and team members
- Passion for working with children and supporting their growth through fun, educational activities
Qualifications:
· $300 signing bonus, $150 at start date, and $150 at the end of the 2026 school year.
* Minimum age 16 years old.
· Have a sincere interest and ability to comprehend the needs of children to develop positive outcomes.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
· Must complete Presidium Child Abuse Courses prior to start date.
· Completion of Abusive Head Trauma Prevention course.
* CPR training provided and required.
· Must pass FBI Print Background check prior to start date.
