Before and After-School Teacher

Job Overview
We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated individuals to join our team as School Age Program Staff. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting educational programs and activities designed for children and students. You will work closely with students to provide guidance, encouragement, and a safe environment that fosters learning and personal growth. Ideal candidates will have experience working with children in various capacities, including games and activities, homework assistance, and childcare.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate engaging educational activities that promote learning and development.
• Provide support in sports/games, helping students develop their skills in various motor activities.
• Assist with homework to reinforce academic concepts and encourage student success.
• Implement behavior management strategies to maintain a positive and productive environment.
• Supervise students during activities to ensure their safety and well-being.
• Collaborate with other staff members to create a cohesive program that meets the needs of all students.
• Support special education initiatives by adapting activities for diverse learning needs.
• Encourage participation in theater or arts programs to enhance creativity and self-expression.
• Maintain open communication with parents and guardians regarding student progress and behavior.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children in educational or recreational settings is preferred.
• Skills in sports coaching, tutoring, or daycare are highly desirable.
• Strong understanding of behavior management techniques.
• Ability to educate and engage students effectively in various subjects or activities.
• Experience in special education is a plus, demonstrating an ability to work with diverse learners.
• A background in theater or performing arts is advantageous but not required.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
• A passion for fostering a positive learning environment for all students.

Pay: $14.00 - $18.25 per hour
