Beginning Assistant Graphic Designer

We are looking for a assistant for our graphic design department and our Marketing department. We would like someone with an eye for creativity to help create engaging and on-brand graphics for a variety of media and our product. Must be proficient with Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and other Adobe Suite programs, Word and Excel. Must have a creative eye.

What is the role of an assistant? The assistant graphic designer/ marketing job description includes helping in the entire process of defining requirements, visualizing and creating graphics including illustrations, logos, video, social media, layouts, photos and organization.

You will be trained to do various jobs one of which is helping the designing team that shapes the visual aspects of marketing material, sales material, product packaging, exhibitions and more. Your graphics should capture the attention of those who see them and communicate our company’s message. For this, you need to have a creative flair and a strong ability to translate requirements into design. This position will float between helping our Design team, Marketing team and other divisions in the company. If you can communicate well and work methodically as part of a team and are organized, we’d like to meet you. The goal is to inspire and attract the target audience. You will also be crossed trained in other aspects of our company.

Responsibilities

• Helping with social media projects and posting
• Assisting in forms and orginaization
• Conceptualize visuals based on requirements
• Prepare rough drafts and present ideas
• Help develop illustrations, logos and other designs using Adobe Suite and other programs.
• Use the appropriate colors and layouts for each graphic
• Work with management and creative director to produce final design
• Amend designs after feedback
• Ensure final graphics and forms are correct with no errors.
• You will be cross trained in other aspect of our company.

Skills

• Must be proficient with Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, Word and Excel. Willing to work and learn. We will train the right person with the proper qualifications.
• Familiar with social media platforms.
• A keen eye for aesthetics and details
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to work methodically and meet deadlines
• Orginization is a must

• Work well with others and willing to be cross trained in other aspects of our company.

Job Type: Full-time
