Behavior Consultant 1099 Contractor

Your dedication will help transform lives through compassionate, data-driven care. We are looking for an independent behavior consultant to serve Valparaiso, LaPorte, and surrounding counties.

Duties

  • Implement individualized behavior intervention plans utilizing principles of applied behavior analysis (ABA) to support clients’ developmental goals
  • Conduct thorough patient assessments and diagnostic evaluations to determine behavioral needs and progress
  • Collect, analyze, and document data meticulously during therapy sessions to monitor effectiveness and inform adjustments
  • Collaborate with families, caregivers, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure consistency and optimize treatment outcomes
  • Maintain accurate medical records, documentation, and reports in compliance with HIPAA regulations and medical terminology standards
  • Perform intake assessments to evaluate client needs and establish appropriate intervention strategies
  • Provide patient care by delivering engaging therapy sessions tailored to each individual’s unique abilities and challenges

Skills

  • Extensive knowledge of behavioral therapy techniques
  • Proven experience working with children and individuals with disabilities, including those with Autism.
  • Strong understanding of special education principles and developmental milestones
  • Ability to collect, interpret, and utilize data effectively for ongoing treatment planning
  • Excellent written and verbal communication.
  • Knowledge of HIPAA compliance standards to ensure confidentiality and privacy of sensitive information

  • Qualifications: Master’s Degree in Behavior Analysis, Clinical, School, or other applied health service area of Psychology; Special Education; Social Work; or Counseling.
  • May also be a licensed marriage and family therapist, clinical social worker, or licensed mental health counselor.
  • A report of "no findings" when criminal history checks are completed.
  • Prior experience with individuals with disabilities preferred.
  • Knowledge of behavioral therapy techniques and strategies
  • Provide copies of resumé, transcripts, and other documentation proving qualifications
  • Must complete required trainings and orientation
  • CPR/First Aid/AED Hands-on Certification
  • Negative TB Test
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Pay: $50.00 - $60.00 per hour
