Behavior Intervention Professional

Job Summary

Teo Developmental Services is seeking a dedicated and energetic Behavior Intervention Professional to support children and adolescents with developmental disabilities. In this role, you will provide individualized behavioral and skill-building interventions designed to increase independence and improve quality of life at home and in the community.

The ideal candidate is compassionate, reliable, and committed to helping children develop skills related to communication, emotional regulation, social interaction, behavior, and daily living. This position offers the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of children and families while working within Idaho's Children's Habilitation Intervention Services (CHIS) program.

Responsibilities

• Implement individualized intervention strategies based on each child's needs, goals, and treatment plan.
• Collect and document data related to client progress and behavioral outcomes.
• Support children during community-based, home-based, and skill-building activities.
• Assist children in developing skills related to communication, emotional regulation, social interaction, independence, and behavior.
• Collaborate with families and other team members to support progress toward individualized goals.
• Maintain accurate documentation and records in compliance with agency policies and HIPAA requirements.
• Build positive and professional relationships with children, families, and community partners.
• Participate in training, supervision, and ongoing professional development activities.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in a human services field from an accredited college or university.
• Experience working with children or individuals with developmental disabilities.
• Ability to pass all required criminal history and background checks.
• Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and proof of automobile insurance.
• Current CPR and First Aid certification, or ability to obtain certification within agency timelines.
• Strong communication, organization, and documentation skills.
• Ability to work independently while maintaining communication with supervisors, families, and team members.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience providing behavioral intervention services.
• Experience working with autism spectrum disorder, intellectual disabilities, emotional regulation, and positive behavior supports.
• Experience in education, counseling, psychology, social work, behavioral health, or related fields.
• Patience, professionalism, and a commitment to supporting children and families.

Pay: $28.00 - $32.00 per hour
