Position Overview

We are seeking motivated and compassionate Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs) and Behavior Technicians (BTs) to join our team. In this role, you will work 1:1 with clients to implement Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) programs under the supervision of a BCBA.

No certification? No problem — we provide training and support for BTs to obtain their RBT credential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide direct 1:1 ABA therapy in home and/or center settings
  • Implement individualized treatment plans and behavior intervention plans (BIPs)
  • Collect and record accurate session data
  • Support development of communication, social, and daily living skills
  • Manage challenging behaviors using evidence-based strategies
  • Maintain professional communication with families and supervisors
  • Complete session notes and documentation in a timely manner
  • Attend supervision, team meetings, and ongoing training

QualificationsFor RBT Applicants:

  • Active RBT certification in good standing

For Behavior Technician Applicants:

  • High school diploma required (Bachelor’s preferred in Psychology, Education, or related field)
  • Willingness to complete RBT training and certification (provided by Totz ABA Spot)

Additional Requirements (All Candidates)

  • Experience working with children preferred (ABA experience a plus)
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Reliable transportation and willingness to travel locally within New Jersey
  • Ability to pass:
  • Criminal background check
  • NJ fingerprinting requirements
  • Ability to:
  • Follow structured treatment plans
  • Accept feedback and work as part of a team
  • Maintain confidentiality (HIPAA compliance)

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to be active during sessions (sitting, standing, playing)
  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs if needed
  • Ability to respond quickly to ensure client safety

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $16.00 - $30.00 per hour
