Position Title: Behavior Technician
Summary:
Behavior Technicians provide direct clinical services to children with Autism Spectrum Disorder and related developmental disabilities using the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA). Services are delivered either in school, in center, or a combination of both under the supervision of a BCBA or senior staff.
Essential Duties:
Provide 1:1 and group ABA therapy following skill acquisition and behavior reduction plans
Accurately collect, record, and summarize behavioral data
Assist in assessments and preparation of therapy materials
Maintain safe, clean, and organized environments
Collaborate with families, BCBAs, and other team members
Required Qualifications:
High School Diploma
Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and ability to lift 50 lbs
18 years of age or older
Preferred Qualifications and Certifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Education, ABA, or related field
Experience working in schools, daycares, or community settings
Experience working with children with Autism Spectrum Disorder
Additional Requirements:
Must pass background checks and comply with HIPAA confidentiality standards
Ability to assume physical postures (kneeling, squatting, standing, moving quickly) as needed for client safety
