Join our dynamic team as a Behavior Technician/Preschool Teacher, where you'll play a vital role in supporting the development and well-being of children, particularly those with developmental disabilities and autism. Responsibilities
- Implement behavioral therapy interventions based on individualized treatment plans, including applied behavior analysis (ABA) techniques.
- Assist children with activities of daily living (ADLs), such as feeding, dressing, grooming, and toileting, promoting independence.
- Collect and record data on children's behaviors, progress, and responses to interventions accurately and consistently to inform ongoing care plans.
- Support classroom activities by teaching foundational skills in communication, social interaction, and self-care within a preschool setting.
- Collaborate with families and multidisciplinary teams to ensure consistency in behavioral strategies and update care plans regularly.
- Maintain detailed medical documentation, including progress notes, behavior logs, and adherence to HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality.
- Foster a positive environment that encourages patience, understanding, and patience while managing behaviors and promoting behavioral health.
Experience
- Prior experience working with children in educational or therapeutic settings is highly preferred.
- Knowledge of behavioral therapy principles, especially applied behavior analysis (ABA), is essential.
- Experience assisting children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) or other developmental disabilities is advantageous.
- Familiarity with special education practices, teaching methodologies, and behavior management techniques is desirable.
- Ability to collect data systematically and maintain accurate medical records aligned with healthcare standards.
- Understanding of medical terminology related to behavioral health and patient care is beneficial.
