About the Role

Advance Kids is seeking compassionate and reliable Behavioral Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to join our team in Elverta, CA. This position supports adults in a Community Crisis Home (CCH) serving individuals 18 years and older with complex needs, including mental health conditions and co-occurring developmental disabilities.

Our CCH program helps individuals transition safely from locked or highly restrictive settings into a supportive community environment. DSPs play a critical role in promoting independence, stability, and quality of life while ensuring a safe and structured home environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct care and behavioral support to residents with complex needs
• Respond safely and effectively to crisis behaviors
• Assist individuals with daily living skills, personal care, and community integration
• Support residents in developing coping skills and maintaining emotional stability
• Implement behavior support plans and individualized care strategies
• Monitor and document behaviors, progress, and incidents according to program protocols
• Work collaboratively with clinical teams, supervisors, and support staff
• Maintain a respectful and therapeutic home environment

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months of related experience supporting individuals with behavioral challenges, inpatient mental health populations, or severe mental health needs
• Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities and mental health conditions
• Ability to remain calm, patient, and supportive in crisis or high-behavior situations
• Strong communication and documentation skills
• Ability to work as part of a team in a structured residential setting
• Willingness to obtain RBT certification within 90-days
