Behavioral Health Agency Director

Job Summary

Ohana's Haven Counseling & Treatment Services is seeking an experienced Behavioral Health Agency Director to oversee agency operations, residential programming, staff supervision, regulatory compliance, quality assurance, and program development. The Agency Director will provide leadership for both community-based and residential behavioral health services, ensuring that all programs operate in compliance with Medicaid, OhioMHAS, CARF, OhioRISE, and QRTP standards while promoting positive outcomes for youth and families. Your leadership will drive organizational excellence, enhance patient outcomes, and uphold the agency’s commitment to compassionate care. Duties

• Provide visionary leadership to ensure the delivery of exceptional behavioral health services aligned with organizational goals and community needs
• Oversee medical management practices to optimize clinical outcomes and ensure evidence-based treatment approaches are implemented effectively
• Manage healthcare operations, including budgeting, staffing, program development, and resource allocation to maintain efficient agency functioning
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, including OHMAS standards, to uphold accreditation and quality benchmarks
• Develop and implement policies and procedures that promote best practices according to OHMAS and CARF standards while fostering a culture of continuous improvement
• Collaborate with community partners, healthcare providers, and stakeholders to expand access to services and promote integrated care models
• Lead staff recruitment, training, performance evaluations, and professional development initiatives to cultivate a motivated and skilled workforce
• Familiarity with EHR systems and documentation

Experience

• Bachelor's Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, Healthcare Administration, Human Services, or related field.
• Proven experience in healthcare management within behavioral health or related fields, demonstrating strong leadership capabilities
• Experience with QRTP operations.
• Experience with CARF accreditation and OhioMHAS certification.
• Knowledge of OhioRISE, NYAP, and child welfare systems.
• Experience managing agency budgets and contracts.
• Extensive knowledge of medical management principles applied within behavioral health settings
• Demonstrated success in managing healthcare operations, including financial oversight and resource planning
• Familiarity with CARF and OHMAS accreditation processes and standards for maintaining compliance and quality assurance
• Management experience overseeing multidisciplinary teams in clinical or community-based settings
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to build partnerships across diverse organizations and communities
