Foundations Group Recovery Centers Ohio is a certified, accredited substance use disorder addiction treatment center that offers an array of services supported by a team of knowledgeable and experienced staff. We are dedicated to helping individuals find long term and meaningful recovery.

A BH Group Facilitator plays a crucial role in leading and coordinating therapeutic activities within a day treatment setting for adults dealing with behavioral health challenges. A MH Group Facilitator provides community-based services, as well as telehealth services, that encourage and support progress towards meeting client goals. The primary responsibility of the MH Group Facilitator is to facilitate educational group education for mental/behavioral health challenges. You will be working in collaboration with other staff to coordinate services that will improve the outcome of the clients.

Essential Functions

  • Observes and creates environments that allow dialogue and input from all participants and remains neutral throughout the process.
  • Expertise in working with group dynamics to clarify meeting contents, objectives and establish ground rules that govern behavior while managing the meeting or activity process.
  • Making observations and recognizing when interactions, situations or group dynamics change.
  • Promptly intervening to disperse or extinguish disruptive behaviors and resolve conflict.
  • Collaborates with various staff to select appropriate methods and tools that will maximize client participation and results.
  • Enters all client information are entered into the appropriate records within scheduled time frames.
  • Advocates and educates on wellness/self-care choices and strategies.
  • Advanced interpersonal communication, office etiquette, and computer skills.
  • Knowledge of recovery treatment models and its application
  • Creating a safe and therapeutic environment within the treatment program, fostering a sense of community and trust among participants.
  • Possess strong ethical standards.
  • Maintain all aspects of HIPAA and CFR 42 (part 2), promoting patient confidentiality and right to privacy
  • Attend staff meetings and program required trainings as instructed., including but not limited to weekly census meeting, weekly clinical meetings.
  • Completes required face to face weekly supervision
  • Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Education and Experience

High School Diploma

A candidate for this position must have a minimum of a Qualified Behavioral Health Specialist credential or complete training within the first week.

Must demonstrate a positive, non-judgmental, and accepting attitude toward our patient population.

Requirements

Minimum: High School Diploma, QBHS credential

Ability to communicate verbally in a sensitive manner

Exceptional ethical and moral values

Requires basic computer skills

Strong organizational skills. interpersonal skills, judgment, flexibility, commitment, and internal

drive/motivation are necessary for success in this position.

Work Environment: This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, and filing cabinets. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls. The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move objects up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision and the ability to adjust focus.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work: Specific scheduling will be agreed upon hire with supervisor. Occasional weekend work may be required.
