Behavioral Health PSR Provider

Overview:

We are looking for compassionate and skilled professionals to provide Psychosocial Rehabilitation (PSR) services to children and youth. As a PSR Provider, you will assist children and youth with behavioral health diagnoses in developing social, interpersonal, and daily living skills. Your role will focus on helping them achieve developmental and functional goals, integrating them into their families and communities, and fostering personal independence and competence.

Responsibilities:

Personal and Community Competence:

  • Deliver individualized, hands-on training to build developmentally appropriate social, interpersonal, and daily living skills.
  • Assist children/youth in improving self-management of their behavioral health symptoms to maintain functioning in home, school, work, and community settings.
  • Promote community integration by supporting the development of coping strategies, interpersonal skills, and self-regulation techniques (e.g., anger management, stress management).
  • Help clients establish and maintain supportive relationships and social networks.
  • Encourage children/youth to develop constructive and comfortable interactions with healthcare professionals.

Daily Living Skills:

  • Assist the child/youth in managing their own medication and treatment plans in line with prescribed instructions (e.g., setting reminders, taking medications as prescribed).
  • Help clients improve self-care routines, daily living skills, and personal autonomy.
  • Develop and implement daily routines to support the individual’s functioning in home, school, and community settings.
  • Teach children/youth about community resources and how to access them.
  • Develop relapse prevention strategies and support the re-establishment of healthy routines and practices.

Community Integration:

  • Promote the re-establishment of social skills and community involvement, ensuring clients remain integrated in natural settings.
  • Help children/youth practice and apply coping strategies and interpersonal skills in community environments (e.g., school, home, work).
  • Assist children/youth in responding effectively to triggers and preventing situations that lead to functional impairments.
  • Support the child/youth in identifying and pursuing personal interests, connecting to resources, and building social networks in the community.
  • Encourage the use of social skills, conversation techniques, and positive interactions in community-based settings.

CFTSS-Specific Responsibilities:

  • Assist in implementing interventions outlined in the child/youth’s treatment plan.
  • Develop hands-on, task-oriented activities to help the child/youth achieve their goals.
  • Work closely with the family to promote the successful carryover of skills from treatment plans into daily life.
  • Help children/youth apply and operationalize skills learned in therapeutic settings into real-life situations.

Documentation and Reporting:

  • Ensure timely and accurate documentation of all services provided.
  • Maintain clear communication with the treatment team, ensuring all parties are updated on the child/youth’s progress and treatment goals.
  • Provide services in natural settings, including the child/youth’s home, school, workplace, and other community locations.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Must be at least 18 years old and have a high school diploma or high school equivalency (State Education Commencement Credential preferred).
  • A minimum of two years of experience in children's mental health, addiction, foster care, or related human services.
  • Or:
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, or a related human services field.
  • Or:
  • A Master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, or a related human services field.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: From $25.00 per hour
