Requirements

Have a High School Diploma or the equivalent of a High School Diploma OR
Bachelor's degree in psychology, social work, counseling, sociology, education, criminal justice or similar human service field
Valid driver’s license and auto insurance
Pennsylvania State Police Criminal History Check
Pennsylvania Child Abuse Clearance
FBI Criminal Background Check completed through the Department of Human Services

Description

Are you passionate about supporting children with mental and behavioral health needs? We are seeking a Behavioral Health Technician to provide direct support to children and families, helping them build essential skills and create positive change. As part of a collaborative team, you’ll play a key role in implementing personalized treatment plans that empower children to thrive in their daily lives.

What You’ll Do

As a BHT, you will:

Work one-on-one with children in homes, schools, and community settings to help them develop and apply new skills.
Assist in the implementation of individualized treatment plans, promoting consistency across different environments.
Work independently while maintaining a flexible schedule to meet client needs.
Focus on preventing the need for more restrictive interventions by providing early support.
Collaborate with families, schools, and other support systems to ensure a well-rounded approach to care.
