Behavioral Health Technician

About the Role

Manna Treatment is an outpatient and Intensive Outpatient (IOP) mental health program providing high-quality, trauma-informed care to children (6+), adolescents, and adults.

We are seeking a Behavioral Health Technician (Tech) to support our adolescent IOP program during afternoon and evening hours. This role is ideal for someone interested in mental health, counseling, or social services and looking to gain hands-on experience.

Position Overview

The Behavioral Health Technician supports the clinical team by helping ensure the smooth operation of IOP programming and maintaining a safe, structured, and supportive environment for clients.

Key Responsibilities

• Support IOP group programming and daily operations
• Assist clinicians during group sessions as needed
• Help facilitate or co-facilitate group sessions as appropriate
• Monitor client engagement, behavior, and safety
• Maintain a structured and therapeutic environment
• Communicate observations and client updates to clinical staff
• Assist with client check-in/check-out processes
• Ensure program spaces are organized and prepared
• Support documentation and administrative tasks
• Maintain professional boundaries and confidentiality

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (or currently pursuing) in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or related field preferred
• Experience facilitating or co-facilitating groups strongly preferred
• Previous experience in mental health, healthcare, education, or human services is a plus
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to remain calm and professional in emotional or fast-paced environments
• Interest in behavioral health and working with adolescents

Additional Requirements

• Must be available Monday–Thursday, 3:00 PM – 7:00 PM
• Background check required

Pay: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour
