Behavioral Health Technician/Med Tech

Position Summary

To assist in progressive programmatic development using an integrative model of care considering both behavioral and physical health issues. Provides screening, assessment, treatment planning, life skills, wellness and prevention activities, pre-vocational training, related documentation, case management, crisis intervention, and individual and/or group counseling services to residents and clients. Plays a significant role in providing input, treatment, and coordination for physical health, wellness, and prevention as a member of the clinical team on site. Develops treatment issues. Able to meet productivity expectations while providing services. Strong team player with organizational skills. Contributes to a recovery-based environment.

Properly assist with/administer scheduled medications to patients following State Regulations and Patient Policy. Provide personalized care and services to patients, uphold the patient policies and procedures, and ensure the patients’ rights to safe, prompt, and confidential treatment.

· Works with consumers and staff to provide integrative behavioral and physical health care treatment.

· Provides direct service to consumers, including individual and group counseling, life skills training, behavior management, health promotion and education, and crisis intervention.

· Responsible for coordination of care with medical providers and bringing together an integrative team.

· Assist staff in understanding and integrating physical health into behavioral health treatment.

· Provides input into the treatment process

· It provides prevention and interventions that help consumers maintain their recovery.

· Provides holistic wellness training, education, and activities

· Promotes positive communication and partnerships with consumers and professionals

· Plans and organizes Social-Recreational activities.

· Maintains productivity expectations and clinical documentation on time

· Attend and participate in in-service training sessions and related training opportunities as made available.

· Will be expected to accompany, supervise, and assist consumers in the community.

· May need to cover evening/weekend hours and be "on-call" for shift availability as needed.

· Assist consumers with community integration.

· Works from a Recovery Model framework.

· Other duties as assigned by the supervisor

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $16.50 per hour
