Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Behavioral Health Therapist to join our dynamic mental health team. In this role, you will provide expert psychotherapy and counseling services to individuals. Your primary focus will be to deliver evidence-based treatments, conduct comprehensive assessments. Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough intake assessments and diagnostic evaluations utilizing ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding systems to accurately identify client needs.
- Deliver individual sessions employing modalities such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and applied behavior analysis (ABA).
- Implement crisis intervention strategies to manage acute mental health emergencies effectively while ensuring client safety.
- Maintain detailed medical documentation and records in compliance with HIPAA regulations, ensuring accuracy in medical terminology and CPT coding for billing purposes.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including social workers, case managers, medical professionals, educators, and families to coordinate comprehensive care.
- Provide specialized counseling services addressing issues like PTSD care, grief counseling, addiction counseling, chronic pain management, or working with patients experiencing complex mental health conditions.
- Engage in telehealth sessions utilizing secure platforms to expand access to mental health services across different settings including outpatient clinics and inpatient facilities.
Requirements
- Master’s degree or higher in psychology, social work, counseling or related field from an accredited institution.
- Valid licensure or certification as a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW), licensed professional counselor (LPC), marriage and family therapist (MFT), or equivalent credential depending on state requirements or be working under a licensed provider.
- Proven experience in behavioral health therapy within outpatient or inpatient settings; hospital experience is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in evidence-based therapies such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, psychopharmacology knowledge preferred.
- Strong skills in crisis management, crisis intervention techniques, and behavior management strategies for diverse populations including children with special needs or individuals with disabilities.
- Familiarity with ICD-9/ICD-10 coding systems for diagnosis documentation; experience with CPT coding for billing is a plus.
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations ensuring confidentiality and security of patient records; experience with medical documentation systems preferred.

Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
