Belly Dump Truck Driver

Job Overview
Class A (CDL) required. We are seeking a skilled and reliable Belly Dump Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting materials to and from construction sites, ensuring the safe and efficient operation of heavy equipment. This role requires a strong understanding of construction site operations and the ability to work collaboratively with other team members.

Duties

• Operate belly dump trucks to transport materials such as sand, gravel, and asphalt to various construction sites.
• Ensure the proper loading and unloading of materials, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
• Conduct pre-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition before each shift.
• Collaborate with site supervisors and other operators to coordinate delivery schedules and site needs.
• Maintain accurate logs of material transported and report any issues or delays promptly.
• Assist in basic maintenance tasks on the belly dump, including cleaning and minor repairs.

Skills

• Proficiency in heavy equipment operation, particularly belly dump trucks and related machinery.
• Mechanical knowledge for troubleshooting and performing basic maintenance on vehicles.
• Familiarity with construction site protocols and safety regulations.
• Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with team members on-site.
• A valid driver's license with a clean driving record is required; additional certifications for heavy equipment operation are preferred.
