Experienced Bench Welder / Fabricator - Widnes, UK

BOOTLE CONTAINERS LIMITED are seeking an experienced Bench Welder / Fabricator to join our established team based in Widnes, Cheshire - UK.

The role involves fabrication and welding work across a range of specialist projects within the offshore, military and nuclear sectors, requiring high levels of precision, workmanship and attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities:

* MIG / MAG Welding in multi-positions

* Fabrication using mild steel from 3mm - 10mm thickness

* Reading and interpreting engineering drawings

* Operating oxy-acetylene and plasma cutting equipment

* Cutting, notching, fitting, drilling, and tapping where required

* Maintaining high standards of quality and accuracy throughout production

Most components are supplied cut, plasma-profiled or machined, though additional preparation and fabrication work will form part of the role.

Candidate requirements:

* Proven experience in fabrication and welding

* Strong fabrication skills

* Ability to work independently and as part of a team

* Good understanding and ability to read engineering drawings

* High attention to detail and quality standards

* Own transport essential and live within commuting distance of Widnes (WA8 8XW)
