Benefits Coordinator - Full Time
POSITION SUMMARY:
Responsible for coordination of the day-to-day administration of employee benefit plans. Assists in implementing program goals and objectives; explains and communicates benefits to employees, manages enrollment and provides general oversite. This position reports to the Human Resources Director.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
Education
-
High School Diploma required. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Work Experience
-
Four years of work experience with employee benefits plans preferred.
Skills/Qualifications

Knowledge of various benefit plans and relevant regulations.

Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and make recommendations.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills
-
Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines.

Familiarity with HR and benefits-related software and systems.
POSITION ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Manage enrollments, terminations, and changes to employee benefits programs (medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability, retirement plans).

Provide information and guidance to employees about their benefits options, eligibility, and enrollment procedures.

Ensure the accuracy of benefits-related data and records within the organization's systems.

Assists employees with benefits-related inquiries, claims, and appeals.

Collaborate with HR Director to ensure the organization's benefits programs are compliant with regulations.

Work with insurance carriers and other providers to resolve issues.

Provide back-up assistance to the HR Generalist for general duties and General Orientation.

Organize Annual Benefits Open Enrollment.

Retirement Plan Administration

Auto enrollment of new employees

Accurate and timely recording of contribution rate changes in HRIS
-
Ensure accuracy of employee census information in retirement plan platform.

Transmit biweekly contribution files to Vanguard and resolve associated discrepancies.

Assists with biweekly audit of contribution changes/payroll deductions.
-
Ensures annual automatic contribution increases are timely.

Works in collaboration with HR Director and Finance team to complete annual plan audit.

Occasionally subjected to pressure due to irregular hours and stressful situations due to multiple demands.
