About the Role:

The Benefits & HRIS Supervisor plays a critical role in managing and optimizing the organization's employee benefits programs and Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS). This position ensures the accurate administration of benefits plans, compliance with regulatory requirements, and seamless integration of HRIS data to support strategic decision-making. The supervisor leads a team responsible for maintaining data integrity, generating reports, and providing exceptional service to employees regarding their benefits and HR-related inquiries. By collaborating with cross-functional teams, this role drives continuous improvement in HR processes and technology utilization. Ultimately, the Benefits & HRIS Supervisor contributes to enhancing employee satisfaction and operational efficiency within the HR department.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in benefits administration and HRIS management.
  • Strong knowledge of employee benefits programs, HRIS platforms, and relevant labor laws.
  • Proficiency in HRIS software such as Workday, ADP, or similar systems.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Professional certification such as SHRM-CP, PHR, or CBP (Certified Benefits Professional).
  • Experience working in a multi-state or Puerto Rico-specific regulatory environment.
  • Advanced skills in data analysis and reporting tools like Excel, Power BI, or Tableau.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional projects and change management initiatives.
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the daily administration and management of employee benefits programs including health, dental, vision, retirement plans, and other voluntary benefits.
  • Manage and maintain the HRIS database ensuring data accuracy, security, and compliance with company policies and legal regulations.
  • Lead, train, and support the HRIS and benefits team to deliver high-quality service and resolve employee inquiries promptly.
  • Collaborate with vendors, insurance carriers, and internal stakeholders to coordinate benefits enrollment, changes, and renewals.
  • Generate and analyze HRIS and benefits reports to identify trends, support audits, and inform leadership decisions.
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations related to employee benefits and data privacy.
  • Implement process improvements and system upgrades to enhance HRIS functionality and benefits administration efficiency.
