BESS Engineer / Senior BESS Engineer

We are now welcoming applications for the position of BESS Engineer / Senior BESS Engineer to be assigned within the Solar Department, supporting both office and field operations of our company.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Electrical-Electronics Engineering,
• Minimum 2 years of direct experience in Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS)
• Minimum 3 years of total engineering experience in the energy sector
• Solid understanding of MV/LV infrastructure, SCADA/EMS systems, and grid integration of BESS
• Hands-on experience in performance testing, commissioning, site installation, and system sizing
• Proficient in preparing technical documentation, Bill of Quantities (BoQ), Request for Quotation (RfQ) files, and technical comparison tables
• Knowledgeable about local regulations and national/international standards related to energy storage systems
• Proficient in MS Office and CAD tools; knowledge of PVSyst, ETAP, or DIgSILENT PowerFactory is a plus
• Advanced command of English, both written and spoken
• Holds a Class B driving license and is available for domestic and international site visits
• Strong communication skills, visionary mindset, professional presence, and the ability to take ownership of a newly developing business area

Job Description:

• Designing and evaluating BESS architectures for grid-connected or off-grid (island-mode) projects, and contributing technically to the system sales process
• Preparing electrical layout drawings, connection diagrams, technical specifications, and all related documentation
• Supporting the preparation of technical and commercial proposals in coordination with sales and project teams
• Managing technical correspondence with suppliers and solution partners, and analyzing their offers and system solutions
• Providing technical support in customer meetings and offering tailored solutions
• Conducting site surveys, overseeing installation, participating in commissioning and acceptance testing when necessary
• Leading technical evaluations, market research, and process development efforts in line with İltekno’s vision for energy storage systems
