BH ASSESSOR JOB DESCRIPTION

Behavioral Health Assessor will assess individual/family needs by providing an in-home, initial biopsychosocial assessment and preliminary treatment plan for newly referred child/adolescent consumers and parents/guardians. Assessor must use industry-accepted tools for all assessments, and must have prior experience performing BHA assessments for mental health consumers.

If qualified, Assessor also may receive the opportunity to provide trauma assessments; individual/family assessments for DFCS; and substance abuse assessments.

Assessor will engage clients for assessment, interact with community partners, and communicate his/her findings to our agency and key partners. Bilingual in English and Spanish is a major plus!

BH Assessor Qualifications & Skills

-- Full licensure (LPC, LMFT, LCSW) in the state of Georgia is preferred!

-- Must have completed a master’s degree in psychology, social work, counseling or related field

-- Two years of community-based or home-based assessment and/or counseling experience

-- Training and/or experience in industry accepted clinical assessment tools

-- Demonstrated knowledge of and sensitivity to diverse cultures

-- Excellent verbal and written communication skills

-- Flexible work schedule with the ability to work during the day, evenings and/or weekends

-- Valid Georgia driver's license and vehicle; laptop

Pay: $40.00 - $50.00 per hour
