Job Summary

Friendly Brand is known for producing some of the highest-quality cannabis extracts in the industry. We’re looking for a skilled and motivated Lead Extractor to help carry that legacy forward and lead day-to-day lab operations. This role is ideal for someone with deep BHO extraction experience, strong mechanical knowledge, and a solid foundation in extraction science.

Key Responsibilities

Extraction & Technical Operations

• Lead daily hydrocarbon extraction operations, ensuring compliance with SOPs and all safety protocols
• Operate, troubleshoot, and maintain extraction and post-processing equipment
• Solvent distilation, extraction and post extraction as needed
• Maintain detailed logs for compliance and internal reporting
• Ensure high-yield, terpene-rich, and clean extract production
• Use Metrc to track all product movement with 100% accuracy

Leadership & Mentorship

• Train and support team members in safe and efficient extraction practices
• Serve as the department’s go-to expert on process, equipment, and troubleshooting
• Model professionalism, punctuality, and strong work ethic
• Provide performance feedback and work closely with management to improve SOPs and training systems
• Foster a collaborative and accountable team culture

Compliance & Readiness

• Maintain full compliance with all state and local regulations
• Keep work areas inspection-ready at all times
• Enforce hygiene and safety standards, including appropriate PPE, handwashing, and attire
• Complete and review all logs related to cleaning, safety, and extraction protocols

Required Experience & Skills

• 2–3+ years hands-on experience in cannabis extraction, specifically hydrocarbon (BHO)
• Strong foundation in extraction science and understanding of cannabinoids, terpenes, and solvents
• Mechanical expertise with lab equipment and the ability to perform repairs and troubleshooting
• Familiarity with Metrc and regulatory compliance in a manufacturing environment
• Previous leadership or mentorship experience strongly preferred
• Detail-oriented with strong adherence to SOPs and safety protocols
• Effective communicator with strong time management and multitasking skills
• Basic proficiency in Excel, Word, and general computer skills
• Basic math skills required

Physical Requirements

• Able to lift up to 50 lbs
• Able to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks
• Comfortable working in lab, warehouse, and outdoor environments as needed
• Ability to drive company vehicles or operate a forklift if required

• Must be 21+ years of age
• Must comply with all legal and company regulations for employment in the cannabis industry
• Must maintain personal hygiene and sanitation standards required in a lab setting

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $22.00 - $27.00 per hour
