Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced
Bid Manager – Urban Planner
to join our
Win Work Department
in the
Cairo office
. This role involves managing the full lifecycle of proposal preparation for master planning, urban design, and related consultancy projects.
Responsibilities include leading the process from RFP review through technical and financial submission, handling post-tender clarifications, and supporting award negotiations. The position also requires active contribution to other bids, mentoring junior team members, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure high-quality, compliant, and competitive deliverables aligned with company standards.
Responsibilities:

Take ownership of the entire proposal preparation process from RFP review to award.

Lead and manage the development of technical and financial deliverables for urban planning and design projects.

Coordinate with internal technical teams, project managers, and proposal writers to ensure timely, compliant, and competitive submissions.

Provide technical input related to Urban Planning, Master Planning, and related fields.

Review planning processes including preparation and submission of planning applications.
-
Ensure alignment with sustainability and public realm best practices (LEED or equivalent knowledge is an advantage).

Serve as a mentor and guide to less experienced and newly joined team members.

Engage in post-tender negotiations, clarifications, and responses.

Contribute to proposals of other disciplines with relevant technical input.

Participate in internal meetings, progress reviews, and strategy sessions related to bids.

Perform additional duties as required by management.
Requirements:
Education:
-
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in urban planning, Urban Design, Architecture, or a related field from an accredited university.

Professional affiliation or eligibility for membership (preferred).
Experience & Skills:
-
Relevant experience in Master Planning, Urban Planning, and Urban Design, preferably for large-scale infrastructure and development projects.

Demonstrable experience in preparing planning applications and knowledge of planning processes.
-
Previous experience with international engineering consultancy firms is preferred.

Excellent command of English (spoken and written); proficiency in Arabic is a plus.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); familiarity with BIM tools and GIS is an advantage.

Strong organizational, time management, and coordination skills.

Understanding of sustainability principles within planning and design (LEED or equivalent is desirable).

Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.

Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.

Commercial awareness and understanding of the engineering consultancy sector, particularly in the MENA region.

Ability to build trusting relationships across internal and external stakeholders.
-
APMP or PMI membership is a plus.
