Position Title: Bid Specialist

Position Overview:

Cybernet is seeking an organized, detail-oriented, techno-commercial Bid Specialist to join its Presales function. This role is primarily responsible for end-to-end bid management, ensuring the preparation and submission of high-quality, compliant, and competitive bids across enterprise and carrier-grade solutions.

The Bid Specialist will act as the central coordinator throughout the bid lifecycle, working closely with Sales, Presales, Product, Finance, Legal, PMO, Technical teams and Management to ensure timely, accurate, and well-positioned bid submissions that support Cybernet’s business growth and strategic objectives.


Key Responsibilities and Duties:


Bid Lifecycle Management

  • Own and manage the complete bid lifecycle including pre-bid engagements, pre-qualification and vendor registration processes, RFIs, RFQs, RFPs, post bid engagements and solutions presentations.
  • Review and analyze tender documents to clearly interpret technical, commercial, and contractual requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with customer requirements, internal policies, and submission timelines.

Proposal Development & Submission

  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders to gather inputs for technical, commercial, legal, and financial sections of proposals.
  • Engage OEMs and third-party solution providers, if required, to build end to end compliant solutions.
  • Draft, compile, review, and finalize high-quality technical and commercial proposals, ensuring clarity, consistency, and alignment with Cybernet’s value proposition.
  • Prepare executive summaries, compliance matrices, and bid clarifications as required.
  • Present bid summaries and submissions to management for review, approval, and pricing sign-off.

Commercial & Contract Support

  • Support costing validation, pricing alignment, and business case preparation in coordination with Finance.
  • Coordinate with Legal to review contractual terms, highlight risks, and support negotiations with customers.
  • Ensure contractual and commercial risks are identified and escalated appropriately.

Stakeholder Coordination

  • Act as the single point of contact for all bid-related coordination between Sales, Presales, Product, Finance, Legal, PMO, and external partners.
  • Support Sales teams during bid clarifications, customer queries, presentations and submission follow-ups.
  • Ensure alignment between customer expectations, solution feasibility, and commercial viability.

Process Improvement & Knowledge Management

  • Maintain and continuously enhance a bid repository including templates, past proposals, and best practices.
  • Contribute to the standardization and improvement of bid management processes and documentation.
  • Support market and competitor analysis to strengthen bid positioning and win probability.


Skills & Qualifications:


Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Telecom, Electronics, Computer Systems, or a related discipline.
  • MBA or business-related qualification will be considered an added advantage.

Experience

  • 2–4 years of relevant experience in bid management, proposal development, or presales, preferably within Telecom, IT, or Managed Services environments.

Core Competencies

  • Strong understanding of techno-commercial bids, tendering processes, and compliance requirements.
  • Good understanding of Telecom, ISP industry is preferable.
  • Good understanding of IP/MPLS, Ethernet, FTTH GPON/ fixed line networks.
  • Excellent business writing, documentation, and presentation skills.
  • High attention to detail with strong organizational and time-management abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple bids simultaneously under tight deadlines.
  • Strong coordination skills with the ability to work effectively across cross-functional teams.
  • Sound commercial awareness and structured problem-solving approach.
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and proposal documentation tools.

Certifications

  • Relevant industry or proposal/bid management certifications will be considered a strong asset.
