We are currently seeking a compassionate, dependable, and motivated Big Impact Teacher to join our early childhood education team. This position works closely with infants and toddlers and plays an important role in supporting children during their earliest stages of learning and development.
The ideal candidate is nurturing, patient, energetic, and committed to creating a safe, engaging, and developmentally appropriate environment for young children. Duties
- Provide daily care and supervision for infants and toddlers in a safe, nurturing, and supportive classroom environment
- Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that support children’s social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming classroom that meets health and safety standards
- Follow daily routines including diapering, feeding, toileting, rest time, and transitions
- Build positive relationships with children, families, and fellow staff members
- Observe and document children’s progress and share relevant information with team members and families as needed
- Use positive guidance and redirection to support children’s behavior and social development
- Work collaboratively with the teaching team to ensure smooth classroom operations and consistent care
Qualifications
- Experience working with infants, toddlers, or young children in a child care center, preschool, home daycare, nanny setting, babysitting role, or similar environment preferred
- Knowledge of child development and early childhood education practices preferred
- CDA or other early childhood coursework is a plus
- CPR and First Aid certification preferred, or willingness to obtain upon hire
- Experience working with children with special needs is a plus
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage multiple responsibilities in a busy classroom setting
- Must be dependable, professional, patient, and team-oriented
