BigID Platform Engineer

JOB SUMMARY:

We are seeking a skilled Platform Engineer to support, maintain, and transition our BigID platform across OpenShift and Azure environments. This role will be responsible for ensuring platform stability, security, and compliance while driving the migration of BigID services to SaaS. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in cloud platforms, containerized environments, and automation tools, along with experience in designing and implementing support models.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Maintain and manage BigID instances running on OpenShift and Azure.
• Perform upgrades across all environments to ensure platform hygiene and compliance.
• Ensure zero outages, vulnerabilities, or performance issues during business-as-usual (BAU) operations.
• Monitor and manage core components, including OpenShift, Git, Jenkins, Docker, Ansible, Kubernetes, Splunk, and Azure.

• Collaborate with BigID and consulting partners (e.g., Nephos) to define the future support model for BigID on SaaS.
• Gather requirements from internal teams and stakeholders, aligning the support model with Service Level Objectives (SLOs).
• Deliver a service design for SaaS support, including Managed Service / BPO frameworks.

• Plan and execute the decommissioning of BigID Azure instances post-SaaS migration.
• Ensure clean handover and minimal disruption during transition.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

• Proven experience with OpenShift, Azure Public Cloud, and Kubernetes.
• Hands-on knowledge of Git, Jenkins, Docker, Ansible, and Splunk.
• Strong background in cloud migrations and SaaS transition projects.
• Experience in service design and support model implementation.
• Strong problem-solving, stakeholder engagement, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage BAU operations while driving transformation initiatives.
