Bike Mechanic

Love bikes? Want to work in a shop that’s all about adventure, high-end gear, and keeping riders stoked? We’re a high-end rental and tour company in Santa Barbara with a large and diverse fleet—everything from top-tier road and mountain bikes to e-bikes and cruisers. We’re looking for a skilled Bike Mechanic to keep our fleet dialed, support rentals, and (if you’re interested) even jump in on tours.

What You’ll Do

• Maintain, repair, and tune a large fleet of bikes: road, mountain, e-bikes, hybrids, and cruisers
• Work primarily in our shop, with occasional offsite support at client/partner locations
• Deliver and pick up bikes for renters when requested
• Assist clients with rentals—getting them fitted, set up, and stoked for their ride
• (Optional) Lead tours if you’ve got the personality and interest—road, mountain, city, or e-bike (tips included!)

Required Skills & Experience

• 2+ years of bike shop experience (this is a must)
• Strong skills in:
• Electronic shifting systems
• Brake bleeds (hydraulic + mechanical)
• Full bike builds & part replacements
• E-bike maintenance
• Ability to work independently and efficiently
• Friendly, upbeat personality with great customer service skills
• Team player who can switch gears (pun intended) between repairs and rentals
• Good driving record

Bonus Points

• Knowledge of bike fit basics and recommending bikes to clients
• Familiarity with Santa Barbara routes (road & trail) — or willingness to learn during training
• Comfort on a bike—especially if you’d like to guide tour
