Bilingual Adolescent SUD Counselor / Case Manager (Spanish/English) Mission District, San Francisco, CA | $31.00–$33.00/hr | Monday–Friday, 10:00 AM–6:30 PM
About the Role
We're looking for a bilingual Substance Use Case Manager to support youth ages 12 to 24 experiencing substance use challenges, trauma, and instability in San Francisco's Mission District. This is a community-based, recovery-oriented position serving primarily Latinx youth and families, including those involved in the juvenile justice system or impacted by community violence, gang involvement, or co-occurring behavioral health conditions.
Caseloads are intentionally manageable, with consistent supervision and a collaborative team behind you.
What You'll Do
- Provide recovery-oriented case management and supportive substance use services
- Conduct SUD screenings and intake assessments using standardized tools (SBIRT)
- Deliver brief interventions using motivational interviewing and strengths-based approaches
- Apply harm reduction strategies to support engagement and safer decision-making
- Develop service plans and complete ongoing progress check-ins
- Connect youth to behavioral health treatment, education, job training, housing, and medical services
- Co-facilitate recovery, harm reduction, and wellness groups
- Conduct outreach in home, school, and community settings
- Maintain timely documentation in electronic systems
- Collaborate with clinicians, probation, schools, and community partners
Qualifications
- Fluent Spanish and English, spoken and written (required)
- 2 or more years of case management experience with youth ages 12 to 24
- 2 or more years in substance use or recovery services
- Experience with SBIRT, motivational interviewing, and harm reduction
- Experience working with Latinx communities
- Experience with justice-involved youth or youth impacted by community violence
- Experience with co-occurring behavioral health conditions or disabilities
- Bachelor's degree in human services or related field, or equivalent experience
Compensation and Benefits
- $31.00 to $33.00 per hour (DOE), approximately $64,000 to $69,000 annually
