Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and bilingual (English/Spanish or other language) Apartment Complex Leasing Assistant to join our vibrant property management team. Position Reports directly to Regional manager.
Duties
- Greet prospective tenants in person and over the phone, providing engaging and informative tours of available units
- Assist applicants with leasing paperwork, including contracts, and other legal administrative processes
- Manage tenant inquiries related to property maintenance, lease terms, and community amenities using OneSite property management software
- Ensure compliance with Fair Housing regulations and landlord-tenant laws during all leasing activities
- Conduct data entry, filing, and record keeping for lease agreements, tenant files, and legal documents
- Support conflict management efforts by addressing tenant concerns promptly and professionally
- Upsell available units or amenities to maximize occupancy rates while maintaining excellent customer relationships
- Perform Unit Walks to ensure residents are following property rules per lease agreement
- Post rent delinquent notices following established rules by County Courts
- Document Work Orders & Coordinate with Maintenance Staff
Requirements
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish (or other relevant languages) is essential for effective communication with diverse applicants
- Prior experience in property leasing, property management, or real estate administrative roles is highly preferred
- Knowledge of LIHTC (Low-Income Housing Tax Credit), Section 8 programs, and Fair Housing regulations is a plus
- Familiarity with Yardi, OneSite, or similar property management software tools is desirable
- Strong understanding of landlord-tenant law and legal administrative procedures related to leasing
- Excellent customer service skills combined with professional phone etiquette and conflict resolution abilities
- Office experience including data entry, filing, contracts management, and facilities coordination is beneficial
- Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced environment
