Bilingual Clinician

NAFI Connecticut provides programs, consultation, and support services in a variety of settings across Connecticut, New York, and Rhode Island. We are seeking a full-time Clinician (Bilingual in Spanish) in our newest program, which will provide compassionate, trauma-informed, short-term residential care for young women, ages 13-17. The program will provide robust clinical, therapeutic, educational, and case management services to unaccompanied children while working to reunite them with family members or other identified sponsors. The Clinician is responsible for the provision of individual, group, and family therapy. NAFI is looking for a Clinician who has strong engagement, assessment, and documentation skills. The position requires evening and weekend hours at times, as well as providing after-hours on-call.

Responsibilities include:

  • Provide individual, group, and family therapy to youth in a short-term residential program.
  • Deliver trauma-informed clinical services to young women ages 13–17.
  • Conduct clinical assessments and develop individualized treatment plans.
  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in accordance with agency and regulatory standards.
  • Collaborate with case managers, residential staff, educators, and external partners to support each youth’s treatment and permanency goals.
  • Support family reunification efforts by engaging families and identified sponsors in the therapeutic process.
  • Participate in treatment planning meetings, case reviews, and multidisciplinary team discussions.
  • Provide crisis intervention and clinical support within the residential setting.
  • Ensure services are delivered using trauma-informed and culturally responsive practices.
  • Participate in an on-call rotation and provide after-hours clinical support as needed.
  • Work occasional evenings and weekends to meet program and client needs.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree required.

    • Bilingual (English / Spanish) with strong communication skills, both oral and written, including effective public speaking
    • Exemplary leadership traits and skills; ability to inspire, motivate, guide, and train others
    • A commitment to providing culturally responsive care and services
  • Preferred: Master’s from an accredited college or university in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, Marriage and Family Counseling, or another behavioral health discipline where clinical experience is a program requirement.

Licensure:

  • Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or license-eligible required.

  • Required Qualifications:

    • LCSW/LMSW; LPC/LPCA; or MFT/MFTA
    • Preferred: Candidates who are eligible for licensure and actively working toward obtaining licensure.
    • Non-licensed staff must be able to achieve licensure within three (3) years of their employment start date.

Salary: $64,000.00 / per year
