DENTAL ASSISTANT POSITION

Dental Assistant position is an hourly paid position. Primary responsibility is assisting dentists and hygienists under direction of Dental Coordinator.

• Assists dentists with dental procedures
• Cleans and sterilizes instruments
• Obtains x-rays as needed
• Serves dental practice as needed, greeting patients, answering phones and preparing patient charts
• Orients dental volunteers
• Maintains a prompt and consistent attendance record
• Responds to all telephone calls and requests in a prompt professional manner
• Maintains courteous and professional working relationship with patients, families, professional volunteers and staff
• Supports and participates in the work of the Christian ministry

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Training in dental practices
• Experience in dental office
• Ability to communicate fluently in English and Spanish, both verbal and written
