Family Law Paralegal (Chinese-English)

Responsibilities:

• Conduct research to support legal proceedings
• Assist with drafting and reviewing legal documents such as motions, declarations, discovery, financial documents etc.
• Investigate facts to support attorneys in legal proceedings
• Record and store client information
• Provide legal work support for attorneys in court and at the offices
• Calendar hearings and deadlines and abide by deadlines

Requirements:

• Minimum of two years of family law paralegal experience preferred
• JD or LLM degree preferred
• Bilingual required in Chinese/Mandarin and English
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent organizational and multitasking skills
• Basic understanding of local court rules, filing deadlines, calendaring, and preparation and filing of court documents requirements
• Communicate professionally with attorneys, clients and courts.
• Self-motivated and a quick learner
• Positive attitude and high integrity
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to work well under pressure and handle stressful situations
• Work as part of a team with all levels of experiences

The Zhou Law Group APC offers remote, hybrid, and in-office positions, and has the technology and resources available to ensure that every employee, regardless of their location, is supported in doing their best work and meeting the demands of their cases. Since we have several remote and hybrid employees, our in-office administrative staff is imperative to the efficient operations of the firm.
