Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated BILINGUAL FLOATER TEACHER to join our vibrant educational team. In this role, you will serve as a versatile classroom presence, supporting various age groups and classroom settings while fostering an engaging, nurturing environment for young learners. Your bilingual skills will be essential in creating an inclusive space that promotes language development, literacy, and social-emotional growth. Responsibilities
- Assist with classroom activities, lesson planning, and curriculum delivery across multiple age groups and classrooms.
- Support teachers in implementing educational programs focused on literacy, math, physical education, and social skills.
- Engage children in age-appropriate activities that promote cognitive, emotional, and physical development.
- Manage classroom behavior with positive reinforcement techniques and effective behavior management strategies.
- Facilitate bilingual communication to support language acquisition for English and Spanish-speaking students.
- Collaborate with staff on individualized education plans (IEPs) for children requiring special education or early intervention services.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom environment that encourages exploration and learning.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education best practices.
- Experience working with children in daycare, preschool, or private school settings.
- Proficiency in curriculum development, lesson planning, and classroom management techniques.
- Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet the diverse needs of students, including those requiring special education or early intervention support.
- Excellent communication skills for engaging with children, parents, and team members effectively.
- Familiarity with standardized testing procedures and tutoring strategies to assess student progress.
- Knowledge of Montessori methods or other educational philosophies is a plus.
- Experience with childcare routines such as toddler care and preschool activities.
