Hours: Monday - Friday, 8-hours to assist evening shift with HR-related tasks, days will be discussed during interview

Summary:

The Human Resources Assistant position assists in the completion of routine Human Resources tasks The HR Assistant is responsible for assisting the company with all aspects of recruitment and onboarding, entering new hire information, time and attendance verification, file management, policy enforcement, and HR-related Spanish translations. You will have direct contact with the HR Manager, General Manager and all levels of company employees daily and must possess the utmost level of confidentiality.

Bilingual in Spanish is required.

No previous HR experience needed. Willing to train for candidates with the skillset to succeed in this role. This is a great opportunity to get into the HR field!

Education:

HS Diploma, GED, or international equivalent

Willingness to obtain specific job-related certifications

Knowledge:

English Language - Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar.

Spanish Language - Knowledge of the structure and content of the Spanish language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar.

Primary Job Duties:

  • Assist with the recruitment and retention of staff across multiple disciplines within the facility
  • Complete all onboarding steps including New Hire Orientation, completion of employment verification and tax forms, granting building access, enrolling new hires on the time clock, and entering new hire information in the HCM system
  • Maintain filing system, including auditing files to ensure compliance with all local, state and federal laws
  • Maintain employee attendance records in HCM system
  • Assist with Spanish translation during all company meetings
  • Interpret and explain company human resources policies and procedures
  • Occasionally assist with Spanish translation during employee relations meetings that may include issues, such as harassment or discrimination allegations, work complaints, or other employee concerns.
  • Assist with enforcement of safety and company policies, GMP's and legal regulations.
  • Assist with the Open Enrollment process
  • Maintain current knowledge of Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) and affirmative action guidelines and laws, such as the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).
  • Assist with Spanish translation during stay and exit interviews and ensure that necessary employment termination paperwork and steps are completed.
  • Other duties as assigned.
